The minor in fashion and consumer science is designed for students interested in the fashion industry as it prepares students to understand and analyze the industry from concept to consumer, including: the design and development phase of fashion products; the merchandising and distribution stage; to the end-use consumer. The minor will enrich a student’s major and expand career opportunities within the highly competitive and nuanced fashion industry.
The minor requires 15 semester hours of coursework, at least 6 of which are upper-division, with a grade of at least a C- in each course. No credit-by-exam may be used to fulfill minor course requirements.
