Fashion Show
The annual Fashion Show, a tradition dating back to 1970, is a student-led initiative that showcases the capstone collections of our senior apparel design students. These collections represent the culmination of semesters of dedication and creativity. The event not only offers a platform for showcasing student talents but also fosters engagement with a broader audience of fashion experts. Learn more about the Fashion Show.
Kendra Scott Accessory Design Course
Led by Associate Professor of Instruction Jessica Ciarla, the TXA 341E course immerses students in the world of jewelry design, development and merchandising, while also encouraging them to work closely with Kendra Scott's team. The course culminates in a virtual exhibition where the public votes on the design that Kendra Scott will produce. This collaborative effort not only enriches students’ learning but also contributes to The Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute.
Historical Textiles and Apparel Collection
The Historic Textiles and Apparel Collection is a treasure trove of over 6,500 items spanning from the 19th to the 21st centuries, including garments, accessories, textiles and archival materials from iconic designers like Chanel and Christian Dior. It serves as an invaluable educational and research resource, enabling students, faculty and scholars to explore the historical significance of fashion, study couture construction and design techniques and delve into preservation and conservation methods.
